Scimitar-wing Wyverns are a small breed, eating mainly birds and small vertebrates; as such, they lack the large teeth and heavy claws of their larger cousins. They are far from defenseless, however, and are named for the blade-like growth that forms over the first digit of their wings. The wyverns use these blades to defend themselves from any attacker. Their blades are quite strong and can cut through almost any scale or hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

MClCE likes the cold, and hoards ice mana. Deep underground beneath her weyr is a source of ice mana, and she has excavated and brought enough to the surface that it significantly lowers the otherwise-mild temperatures near her home. She spends time every day meditating on her hoard in the hopes that she will become enlightened, and having spent so much time she has become transformed through overexposure. Bits of mana are embedded into her belly scales, and her markings have a cyan-blue cast. She is quick to threaten anything which comes near her cave, which is usually smart because of the number of monsters that live in the Drowned Mountains. There was one time a handsome green-and-white dragon came by while she was meditating, and she regrets having scared him away. It gets lonely sometimes, and she would love having someone to talk to—or at least write to—but she didn't even catch his name.
