Many once believed that Crypt dragons were omens of ill fortune, prowling old graveyards and abandoned burial sites like sinister guardians. Their unblinking, two-headed gaze can pierce the veil of the spirit realm; one head to condemn the living, the other to guard the dead, as conventional wisdom would have it. Crypt dragons are most active - and their true nature most apparent - when the veil between the living world and spirit realm is at its thinnest. They can be seen gamboling with those souls whose loved ones have long forgotten their names, wispy manes glowing silver-white in the moonlight as they share life with the lifeless and joy with the eternally lost.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.

User Description

Crpyt is named "Crpyt" because she resides in one, the Soonmun Family Crypt. In her 30s, she decided to learn to read and write, mainly because she wanted to know what the various inscriptions and other texts around the Soonmun property say. As a late learner, she took some shortcuts, including skipping over the "sound it out" method that most folks learn as children, where they break an unfamiliar word into smaller pieces to get a sense of how it's pronounced and spelled. Rather, Crpyt memorizes the rough shape of a word and just hopes that she won't have to spell any complicated words later. When she decided to make a name tag and start signing her name on documents, the two minds argued about whether Crypt is spelled C-Y-R-P-T or C-R-P-Y-T and decided that the latter looked more correct. Whenever the Soonmun Family Crypt has visitors (who aren't the Soonmuns themselves), Crpyt always sits proudly by the entryway with her CRPYT name tag clipped to her mane where it can be seen.
