Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Katsu is a small, lean, and beautiful female black dragon of her breed. However, despite her size in which she was smaller than most of her breed, she could be classified as deadly. She had once brought down several other dragons on her own, using nothing but her claws and magic, as well as her intelligence to trick others. Katsu likes to believe that when in combat, strength isn't the key to winning a battle. She claims that it is, instead, based on how tricky and intelligent one is, to help avoid and counter attack without getting too close to score new wounds. Despite her tactics in combat, she is quite caring and wise, although aggressive when protecting someone she holds dear.
