Dark green dragons, once they mature, appear to become an entirely different species. However, this isn’t true. Rather, they burrow underground and get nutrients from their vines. These vines are sometimes referred to as Dragon Grass. These dragons are very violent, and will use their vines to capture, kill, and eat anything that moves, as well as nearby plants. Luckily, their range is limited and they cannot use magic. Dark green dragons tend to be easy to spot since they usually kill all plants around them and thus are usually surrounded by a large clearing.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Locho is known for his bizarre habit of randomly launching things into the air. As soon as he finds something throwable, he uses his vines to pick it up and fling it straight up. He will continue doing this until he somehow loses the object he was playing with, or until it falls to the earth and is rendered useless. The other dragons have long since learned to keep the eggs away from him, due to an unfortunate incident last spring. And as of a week ago, hatchlings and mints are warned to keep a distance also. His friend, the black dragon Ronu, is always amiably being thrown about like a rag doll. Ronu's first impressions of Locho left much to be desired, as soon as she set foot in his territory he grabbed her and attempted to chuck her into the air. She didn't get very far, and she landed right on top of him a few seconds later.  Locho still likes to tease her about the look she had on her face the entire time. Ronu likes to tease him by stepping on the vines that are still bruised.
