Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rohdea is named after a group of plants from her homeland not found in her current living place. That is one of the few things anybody knows about her place of origin—she doesn't say much about whatever network or county she came from other than life there was not good. She states that she fled as an adolescent to avoid becoming another piece in the Block-and-Haze rivalry and has never looked back. There are whispers that Rohdea has royal blood, but it's likely she's so far down the line of succession that it doesn't matter. She spends her free time drinking bean juice and swinging on a swing set of her own devising. In December, she decorates her swing set with metal rings and red feathers, which may be a practice in her old home or maybe just something she decided to do on her own.
