Thunder Dragons are the masters of electricity. Their wings gather energy as they soar through the clouds, and when they clap their wings together they can create devastating arcs of lightning. They can stay airborne nearly indefinitely, landing only to sleep and breed; they catch their prey from the air and take moisture from the clouds. A thunder dragon’s roar is considered to be an omen of misfortune.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Lightning-Bolt had been in love with Thunder-Clap since birth. The two would play together every day and were always near each other. Naturally, friendship developed into love as the two matured into adults. It looked like a perfect match until one fateful, stormy afternoon. On that day, Lightning-Bolt flew up into the clouds, preparing to perform a courtship dance with Thunder-Clap. As he dove toward the earth to link paws with Thunder-Clap in their exhilarating air dance, he lost her in the clouds. He desperately looked around, trying to find his mate. But by the time she caught his eye, it was too late. His mate, who was equally confused and was trying to find him went crashing into a mountainside before she could stop her fall. On impact, she lost conciousness instantly. By the time she recovered from her crash, she had lost all memory of her love. Now, while all physical and emotional scars appear to have dissappeared, Lightning-Bolt sometimes longingly stares at his one true love.
