Falconiform Wyverns are normally shy creatures. However, when approached, they often feel threatened, and the flames along their bodies leap higher. Females tend to be smaller than males, though Falconiform Wyverns are typically rather large overall. They use their size to their advantage by hunting smaller dragons. The Falconiform’s graceful, swooping dives are said to resemble birds of prey. Falconiforms are largely solitary dragons that only meet in order to breed.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Perhaps the most bold Falconiform in the sanctuary, Fiamma tends to be more open and daring than others of his breed. Some believe this is because he has Pyropellis blood in him, but, whatever the reason, Fiamma is certainly something else. He can usually be found soaring through the air, practicing his dives. Fiamma has an obsession with enhancing his abilities, from diving to hunting to fighting to fire production. He wants to be the strongest dragon he can be. So, in order to get ample practice, he will often challenge other dragons to fights or competitions. Fiamma has become known for these surprise proposals, probably because they usually come right out of nowhere. He'll swoop or claw or even breathe fire at his dragon interest to egg them on. Naturally, Fiamma is a powerful fighter, and, even when he loses these fights, he always seems satisfied. This odd and bold behavior has certainly earned him a lot of attention, and he enjoys having that attention.
