Moonstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. They are nocturnal and gather energy through the absorption of moonlight with their orbs. They seem to glow with a lunar light and are a very gentle breed, feeding off of plants and the moons’ power.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

His name means "Emperor" in Japanese. He's one of the many sons of Kentaro and Kiyomi and was raised alongside his siblings Miko, Kisaki, Onibi, and Madoka. They are a very musical bunch, and together make up the singing group known as Utsukushii Oto. He has a beautifully high Tenor voice, and is one of the most talented singers in the whole colony. He's also one of the most handsome dragons. He is mated to Kuma-Gera, even though they were originally thought to be a bad match. He's a lot larger than her, and while he is very bright and angelic looking, she is rather dark and mysterious. They love each other though and have ever since they met. It was a beautiful chilly winter day, and Kuma-Gera was singing in front of her family. Koutei happened to be flying by, and stopped to listen, he fell in love with her high soprano voice, and with the beautiful black dragon it belonged to. They became friends, and soon they were deeply in love. They became mates, and will always love each other.
