Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Smoked Tea likes fire and smoke a little too much. She stands next to fires large and small, basking in the heat, gazing at the bright colors, and, most of all, sniffing the various odors, apparently finding them fragrant. It's a wonder she hasn't died in a wayward fire or destroyed his lungs with ash and other noxious dust, so she probably has a magical safe spell in place to protect her. People often accuse Smoked Tea of starting any of the fires she stands around, when in reality, she has no idea how to make one and even turns down her on-and-off mate's offers to "help" her. He shamelessly smothers his face in her wings and huffs her smoggy, leafy odor. He calls "smoked tea" the most pleasant and aromatic scent ever, and that term became her oft-used nickname.
