Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Princess Akrai is the second-born of King Linen and Queen Doomer, the lead dragons on ScarletSkies's scroll. Like her mother, Akrai is a Golden Wyvern, and also like her mother, she is incredibly vain and selfish.

Raised exclusively by her parents (mainly Doomer), Akrai was pampered in every way imaginable. Fresh food was delivered to her daily, she had all the time to rest and lie about, and she could boss anyone she wanted to around. However, her parents failed to teach her vital skills such as hunting and fighting. If she were to be left on her own, she would surely starve to death.

Akrai is egotistical and self-centered. When she's not snarling orders at the Frostbite guards, she's lying around with a mirror, staring in awe at her own beautiful golden reflection.

Along with being snotty, Akrai is quite cunning. She blackmails to get what she wants and can turn dragons against each other with a single rumor. She's not two-faced, just opportunistic.
