Magnesium Amphipteres are a rather violent species. They ruthlessly drive out anything that dares to trespass on their territory, and spend much of their time flying tirelessly in wide circles as they hunt and patrol their space. Often a single individual shows aggression between even its own two heads as they fight for food and control over their body. They are not social and will only come together to mate, after which the two dragons return to their own territory almost instantly. Magnesium Amphipteres are named for their flames: these dragons can breathe blindingly bright, powdery flame from both heads.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Two-headed dragons are unique enough to deserve a separate classification from ordinary dragons. They have two necks, two brains, two mouths, but one stomach and one main body. The two heads usually work together, but there are times when they will fight each other, snapping back and forth. Their unique anatomy prevents them from breeding with single-headed dragons.
User Description
The magnesium amphipteres in this region all have their own territories that they fought for, and per tradition, they hold the titles "Lord of ----------", remaining lords as long as they can defend their lands. Sometimes, they make up the name, especially if their territory's cobbled together from small bits of named lands they took over. Wood and Metal's siblings are Lord of Lawhealm, Lord of Winter and Barren, Lord of Smokehills, and Lord of Half of Ashen Crag, while he's the Lord of This One Balcony in Valley View. Just one balcony, not the whole building. But it's a big balcony. Wood and Metal concedes that he's rather weak and fragile for his breed and agrees with his mother that abandoning him was the correct decision. Still, he proudly perches on his territory (sometimes the floor, sometimes the railing) and fiercely defends it, to the annoyance of the 2nd-floor occupants of Palacio de Valley View.
