Desipis Dragons are an extremely dangerous breed, synonymous with the paths of desolation they leave in their wakes. These gargantuan beasts are infamous for their innate ability to control and manipulate the minds of others, which they use to pulverize the sanities of their foes and forge false memories. This power is especially effective on the foolish, and only the strongest-willed individuals have been known to resist a Desipis’s cunning. Most who anger Desipises do not live to tell the tale. Desipis Dragons are especially feared for their uncanny power of absorbing the magic of others with the fire they breathe and converting it into the bright reserves of crystallized mana that decorate their bodies.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The story goes that when this dragon was little he wanted to dominate a dragon all by himself. He knew whites couldn't fight back, so when he found one, he took the chance—but she knew about desipises and cast a powerful, experimental protection spell that inverted the effect of his mind-control, forcing him into her thrall.

It is unknown whether Thryas is still making him maintain the spell, or if it has worn off and he now willingly answers her every beck and call. Regardless, all evidence points to him being the subservient dragon, polishing her scales and seeking her commands. He even lets her call him "my little pet", while he calls her "master". Ever since he joined her he has been using his mind-altering magic to loosen her morals, slowly working away at the part of her mind that feels revulsion towards violence. This too is suspected to be at Thyras's own wishes.

Little is seen of the desipis, since Thyras wishes to maintain her (untruthful) image of an innocent white dragon.
