Sunrise Dragons are closely related to sunset dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunrise Dragons prefer to live in large groups and enjoy basking in the early morning sun. They are usually most active in the morning, and go to sleep in the early evening.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Light Company, or LC, is a stand-and-watcher at the Sierra Panty Tanty Ree. From dawn to around noon, she stands on one of the apartment complex roofs and makes sure the loud inhabitants are dressed in their pajamas (the dress code) at all times when outside and don't do anything without chaperones. It is especially important that she make noise and draw a light sigil for her employers whenever one of the eccentrics climbs one of the fences. At first, LC wasn't sure about taking this job, but she's grown to enjoy it. Her parents have always loved her but thought her dimwitted when she was growing up, but now, she has a job, and her employers tell her she does well, and that makes her happy. Occasionally, she writes to her parents about how she's doing, and they write back saying they are proud of her and that they hope she can visit them soon.
