Pillow Dragons are covered in enormous amounts of fur affectionately referred to as fluff. Despite their deceivingly large size, they can still fly even with such tiny wings because their bodies are remarkably light. Pillow Dragons have a habit of sleeping for up to eighteen hours a day, waking only in short bursts. During their few waking hours, they take the time to hunt for prey. Once a pillow dragon becomes an adult, its fur grows very slowly. Pillow dragon fur is used to make very expensive and valuable cloth known as “dragon cashmere.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Prince Zorn is the first male Pillow Dragon of the King and Queen of SS's scroll. Unlike his sister, Prowl, who was raised almost entirely by their father, Zorn defected over to his mother's side. There he was truly pampered and given anything and everything he wanted.

Queen Doomer, seeing that Zorn favored her, treated it as an advantage and raised him to be as snotty and rude as she could. King Linen was oblivious to her scheme for the most part. Only when he matured did the King realize what his mate had done.

Zorn is very vain, and like his Golden Wyvern sister Akrai he would prefer to lay around in the cave, grooming his luxurious fur. He gets extremely angry if one were to touch his fur, and snaps when his groomers discomfort him in the slightest.

While he is pampered, Zorn would much rather do a lot of things himself, such as hunting. He has taught himself how to catch his own food, and has even mastered the art of fighting, mostly by observing the Frostbite guards practicing.
