Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Lomion, the "evening-child", was treasured by his human even as he was an egg, for it was due to mere luck that the human found the egg. When she was walking a newborn pink hatchling through a forest, she found the hatchling sniffing at a certain direction. Following her, the human found the egg in a nest of a slain snake, which seemed to be protecting the egg as if it were her own. She carried the large egg back home and gave the egg to the interested pink hatchling, who immediately brooded over the egg until it hatched. <br/>When the egg finally hatched as a brown-and-gold hatchling, both Amaryllid, the pink hatchling who grew up around that time, and her human were delighted. They dedicated many precious days of their lives to teach the young dragon what they could, and were delighted when Lomion finally reached his magnificent adulthood. From that time, Amaryllid became a permanent broodmate of the charming, passionate dragon that Lomion became.
