Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Born in the forests with Valkyrie as a hatchling, Icari returning to the main cave excited, and embraced the new world with an open mind. While Valkyrie shied away, Icari spoke to the other dragons to help develop their knowledge about the breed, however once the cloud of interest had passed Icari found him abandoned by all but few, who valued him for his personality and not his stories. Luckily, this did not tarnish the once isolated dragon's enthusiasm, and he enjoyed life with his friends, forming a special bond with a black stripe named Nitea. Adoring her with every undead breath, Icari became her mate, only for them to break up after only a week had passed due to Nitea's wish to have children. Icari could only stand and watch as she left, regretting everything about his life, who he was, and striking out at those around him. When he returned the public eye he found relationships between the Libra Clan and the others were almost nil and has strived to fix them ever since.
