Seasonal Dragons take on the characteristics of the season during which they are born. Thus, eggs that are laid in spring match the pink flowers and green buds of spring, and those that are laid in the summer grow to depict the bright green of the forest trees and the yellow of the sun. Eggs laid in autumn display the bright colors of leaves falling from trees, and those that are laid during winter take on the appearance of the icy snow.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Qali Nuria, daughter of Vega Nuria and Qui Nuria, was a very puzzled hatchling, and she should be, with a Nebula mother who hates the stars and an Autumn season father whose lovers and friends leave him.  The one thing that helped Qali sort through this was her voice. Her father loved to sing, and he had taught her to mimic his chirps, hums, and bellows until she could sing beautifully. One winter night, Qali had been wandering through the forest when she heard a sound she had never heard before. She followed the sound until she approached a clearing in the woods. There she saw, in the glowing moonlight, her parents sitting side by side, tails twisted together and heads raised to the sky. They lifted their voices, serenading their joys and woes the midnight moon. Inspired by their song, Qali ran into the clearing, her bliss and sorrow mingling with theirs as she released her voice. Now, every night in the tallest mountain of Elgar, the trio let free their songs to the starry night sky.
