Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It likes garnets, but only certain kinds.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Shadow, along with her sister, also called Shadow (complicated story), likes to spend hours following the coast zyumorph around to learn what exactly zyumorphs do all day. Well, she's pretty sure it's the real thing and not an illusion or someone in a costume playing a prank, and she hopes it's real because she's really grown to like her subject. Shadow is confident that she and her sis are perfectly safe from harm while zyumorph-watching. After all, if anything tries to hurt her, the great coast guardian is right over there and would protect them.
