Lightning Pygmies are well-known as rumors but rarely seen. An ill-mannered breed, their confidence comes from the tremendous energy that they absorb from natural lightning bolts. They hunt in the middle of storms, reaching high speeds, and with the help of lightning magic they go after prey like a lightning bolt.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Pygmy dragons are the smallest category of dragons, being on the same scale as domesticated animals. They are often found around concentrated populations of dragons, relying on their larger brethren to ward away potential predators and leave scraps. As such, the majority of a pygmy’s diet is scavenged. Due to their tiny size, pygmies do not breed with larger varieties of dragons.

User Description

Lighterman is one of the inhabitants of the once-abandoned Hip House, which was named such by the first group of four dragons to resettle there. Her room has lightning-proof walls that don't scorch. This really is a nice house, full of neat things, and it probably has a lot of interesting history. It is huge even by dragon standards, and to a pygmy dragon, it might well be infinite. Based on Lighterman's surveys of some rooms, maybe the Hip House really is infinite, since she's found herself zipping down hallways that lead to rooms that lead to more hallways, and sometimes, she doesn't wind up in a familiar place even when she ought to. Very strange! It's one of the things she likes about the Hip House. Another thing she likes is that none of the inhabitants judge her or make insipid remarks, such as pointing out that her name is Lighterman even though she is no man. Granted, many of the inhabitants don't speak and probably can't be said to be intelligent or sentient.
