Pyrovar Dragons live at high altitudes in areas with lots of volcanic activity. They are commonly associated with geysers and hot springs and enjoy soaking in the scalding water. Females bury their eggs in these areas warmed by geothermal energy and abandon them soon after. As a result, these dragons are territorial and solitary from a young age. Despite their affinity with water they have powerful flame breath and fire magic. They are entirely carnivorous and utilize a variety of hunting styles, from chasing down prey from the air to lying in wait beneath the water’s surface to ambush any unwitting creatures that wander by.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Adoss is the deputy editor in Charlie's premier news organization, the Daily Dispatch, which delivers news pamphlets once a week. With a knack for content evaluation and gauging reader interest, he has seldom rejected something that the chief approved, and vice-versa. He claims he can sniff out puns, the lowest form of wordplay, in an article without even reading it. Indeed, when a piece with a pun is deposited in the inbound bin, in the afternoon, he bursts out of his den, exclaiming that he smells a pun, and announces to all in the newsroom, "Find the article. I must know who wrote it so I can show them the door". This is mostly for the sake of appearance: in reality, Adoss loves puns, clever or dumb, and he evaluates each one on a scale of 1 to 10. There's a whole cabinet of written puns in the newsroom, just waiting for the perfect situation to come, and when there's a particularly winding or far-fetched story that doesn't end with a pun, Adoss is quite disappointed.
