Floret Wyverns are an elegant breed, named for the flowerlike mane and tail each individual possesses. They project small fields of magic around themselves that calm those in the field’s proximity, for a short while replacing anxiety and anger with peace-of-mind. Florets are strikingly wise; they often share their knowledge of the world with whomever is willing to listen and learn. They are very faithful to those close to them, and are especially devoted to their partners and young. It is said that the lasting friendship of a Floret is one of the highest testaments to one’s true character.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Declassify was "a presence a long time waiting", or so she heard. When she was small, she couldn't help but notice that a lot of the grown-ups seemed unusually enamored with her. She gradually learned that there was some kind of foretelling-or-whatever about her existence. Some red-faced seer years ago said that a floret wyvern of her description would be born, and in the future, she would "discover more hours in the day". Declassify doesn't know (or really care) what that means and barely thinks about it as she spends her days doing things she enjoys. Her favorite hobby is drink making, and her current activities involve picking berries, drying their seeds, then roasting them, then grinding them up, and finally pouring hot water on them. It's a labor-intensive process, and the resulting brown liquid is disgusting. Though they're too polite to tell her, many dragons wish Declassify would quit wasting her time with frivolous pursuits and start doing the thing she's destined to do.
