Siyat Dragons are extremely smart and have an excellent memory. They are very quick and will often dive through the air making chirps and calls for attention if they feel ignored. Siyat dragons are herbivores and need to eat a lot to make up for all the energy they use with their excitable nature. Groups of Siyat Dragons have a hierarchical structure based on the color of their markings. It is thought that the social status of a dragon is determined by its incubation period—in addition to having different coloration, dragons allowed more time to develop are considered wiser and of higher status.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. After years of high expectations and being repeatedly told how she was born for greatness, Estimable couldn't stand the pressure and toadying and fled. Distracting the guards, zapping the alarm bells, sending her nocturnal family on a snipe hunt, packing up everything she could carry, and dragging the green members out of the territory in one night was not easy, but it was small beans to remaining there, where she assumed only a life of misery would follow. Far away is the community Lima Lie, where inhabitants live in buildings, usually in something called a house. It took convincing and lots of name-signing before Estimable was allowed to move into the town, especially since many dragons looked at her and her traveling companions and thought they were... well, they wouldn't say. In fact, once all the green siyats found a job or at least something to do daily, they gained their neighbors' trust faster than Estimable did. She's very happy to be treated like nobody special.
