Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It never seems to touch the ground.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Puella doesn't know her way around the district and gets lost easily. Her mother isn't too worried about that because she gets found just as easily. She has a unique "Ah! Lost! Lost!" squawk that her caretakers have learned to recognize, and her mother put a stripy black scarf so she's easier to spot in the sky. She's too young to have to think deeply about her future, though she appears to pay close attention when her mother expresses worries about her. Puella doesn't understand the language or concepts the adults use but picks up on and mimics their emotions.
