Golden Wyverns are known for their beautiful metallic scales and rumored magical abilities. Living high in the mountains, these dragons do not believe in killing for sport or pleasure. They will hunt only when hungry and defend themselves when provoked, but will avoid killing to the best of their abilities. Golden Wyverns often mingle with other dragons of similar color and take pride in their shimmering hide.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Being gentle by nature doesn't mean being nice. Searing Enigma loves to mess with humans and goes to a small town once every few years to see what's happening. As expected, after the humans pick up their jaws from the floor, they try to get near him to have a better look at his shimmering scales. They try everything, from kind words to delicious roast meat. Every visit, the dragon goes closer and closer to them, and when he's about nose-petting distance, he pretends to be startled by something and flees back to the mountains, never to visit that town again. Searing Enigma travels around the continent, behaving the same way in every settlement. He gleefully watches the humans get their hopes up before leaving, giving them the impression that it's their fault.
