Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Horus roams the sandy plains of the desert, staying in one place only once, and returning to the clans only for the festivals and parties. While he does not actively work for the clans, Horus provides service to any lost travellers in the desert, and company to those who are on the right path. Horus has been blessed with powerful eyes; eyes that can see through even the fiercest sandstorm, are immune to even the smallest hallucination, and a mind which always knows the right way to go. He watches travellers, following the from afar, and waiting for the moment when they need his help the most, then he swoops down, leading them to safety. Horus is also a tracker; easily finding trails left behind by the careless, and can follow dragons tirelessly for days throughout the wasteland. His best kept secret however, is that he longs for company, each day wondering if anyone will be brave enough to travel with him, but his cursed independence keeps him distant from the clans.
