Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Although most of her species are not of the malevolent persuasion, Ulrika seems to outwardly fit the appearance of a blood-thirsty monster from tales of yore. She is quick to anger and often over-reacts at even the smallest slight. She does not enjoy being condescended to and could easily be accused of rampant feminism. Sly and calculating, she is a warrior through and through, her talents and brute strength do not come for free however. The reasons behind her brash and often self-destructive behavior are quite mysterious and like many other creatures that have suffered abuse in their lifetime she does not rise to the bait of talking about it. There are better qualities to Ulrika that are not often seen, such as her courage in the face of inestimable odds and her stalwart confidence in those she chooses to call friends.
