Avatars of Change are unpredictable, exuberant dragons whose unique connection to magic has saturated their entire bodies. It is said that possessing one of their iridescent scales can change one’s fate, and many have sought the favor of these dragons hoping to receive a scale as a gift.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

This dragon is a mountaineer. He's called Ferdinand, but in a few places, he's also known as Kol. There's little evidence for his existence, but there is a legend that has been repeatedly shared and published: Ferdinand was from a flat land and dreamed of climbing mountains. He climbed many mountains and was among the clouds many times, and when he returned home, the weight of the clouds was heavy on him. When people hear this story, they have many questions, such as the lesson to be taken away from this tale and why this dragon feels the weight of the clouds from mountain climbing when others that fly high in the sky do not. There are no answers to these questions. It is the way it is.
