Ultraviolet Dragons are a heat-loving breed that are most commonly found in hot, arid environments. These hardy dragons are omnivorous and will eat both plant and animal matter, even species with thorny physical defenses such as cacti. They are generally peaceful and often quite friendly, but males will become aggressive and cantankerous during the breeding season. Intense fights take place over females, sometimes resulting in injury for both combatants.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A cheerful creature, this dragon loves sunbathing--but at the same time, the heat that feels so welcome on his wings is quite the torture on his toes. As such he can often be spotted hopping around in elaborate patterns, doing his best to minimize contact time with the hot desert sands as he searches for shade. His mate nearly rejected him when they first met exactly for such silly behavior, but he soon proved that he's as dedicated as he is playful; impressing her with his hunting skills and cheerful demeanor, they are now inseparably close, rearing their young together in the barren desert.
