Grave Dragons are not named for their connections to death or burial, but for the grave expression on their faces. This strange expression is used as a defense mechanism that causes fits of panic and terror in potential predators. Since they only eat ash and charcoal, they do not hunt. Grave Dragons are powerful fire-breathers and have been known to burn down forests and villages alike to make meals. It is believed that the markings on each Grave Dragon’s wings are the faces of those who have lost their lives in fires started by that dragon.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Guinevere is not inherently superstitious, as she will fly under ladders and stroke black cats to her heart's content, regardless of what others may believe. But even though she may be a realist, even she can't help but to notice that every time a certain dragon compliments her on something, it goes terribly wrong. When this mysterious black dragon, whose name she doesn't even know, stated how impressed he was at the size of her prey, later on it was discovered to be infested with maggots. When he complimented her on her flying abilities, she ended up crashing into a tree the next day, and spent months nursing her broken wing back to full health. The realist side of her brain tells her it is just coincidence, as there is no way he could have framed it, a little part of her can't help but wonder if he is her own personal bad luck symbol. Guinevere would try to avoid him, but she knows next to nothing about him.
