Aria dragons are a brightly-colored and sprightly breed, perhaps most adored for their lyric calls. Their song-like melodies fill the areas they inhabit; their coos resemble those of birds, only more elegant and refined. They have fairly strong magical capabilities, but tend to reserve these strengths for last-minute defense, choosing to live their lives in simple peace. Arias, sticking to the tropics, typically live quite far from human settlements, giving rise to the previously held belief that they had gone extinct.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Hisoka has always been curious dragon that doesn't scare easily. As a hatchling she often wandered off when she spotted something interesting. More than once did it result into the adults looking for her for hours. Even after becoming an adult herself, her curiosity didn't subside, that is why she was still often treated as a child. It didn't matter to her that much, but still it would make her feel misunderstood sometimes. One day however she noticed a patch with flowers and vines, which the other dragons seemed to avoid. Her curiosity peaked and she didn't think twice about going to take a look. When she got closer the vines moved and she was staring directly into the eyes of another dragon. Wondering about who he was, she started talking and pretty soon grew very fond of him. Seguchi Tohma seemed to understand her and soon became her best friend and life mate as they gotten a daughter together. Although she hopes Tohma will open up more, she knows it will still take a lot of time.
