Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Yearning for Day should never have been a vampire. A near perfect hatchling, close to maturing, kind and peaceful, she was beautiful and many dragons loved her. However, there was one dragon whose affection she did not return-an impatient vampire with a taste for revenge. He was deeply angered, so he bit her and hid her body. When she woke up the following evening, she did not feel like herself. She went to a nearby lake, and saw her reflection and how she had changed. She fled, but when day came, her body would not allow light, and she became unconscious. Her current cavemates found her at night, and her instincts took over. Black Gaze used magic to control her long enough to take her to the cave. Every day she regrets what her instincts have caused her to do-especially killing the egg of her friends.Like all vampires, her thirst for blood is all-consuming; however, every moment she spends in control of her instincts, she spends under a dark cloud of regret.
