Turpentine Dragons are named for the oil that covers their scales. This oil resembles turpentine in odor and is mildly toxic; it will not kill but it burns to the touch and will cause illness in anyone who ingests it. Turpentine Dragons roam in large packs, often stealing food from larger dragons, though they are able to hunt for themselves if necessary. Many other breeds consider Turpentine Dragons to be pests, so they primarily breed among themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Poison Link the Brave is by nature a very helpful dragon. She is kind, caring, and not at all vain, unlike her mate Florescent Stripe the Ruthless. Despite this, most others avoid her. As a hatchling, she only wanted to be loved. Growing up in a clan of dragons as a rather repulsive breed with no parents, she found herself starved for attention and trying all sorts of ways to get more of it. Most of them ended in failure, however, and after an incident where she used tree sap and feathers to try and make herself look cuter (which completely failed) and flowers to make herself smell pretty (the dragon she was trying to gain the attention of happened to be allergic to flowers) she gave up. But as she was washing herself off in the river, she saw another dragon approaching. A young, nervous dragon by the name of Florescent Stripe to be exact. Poison Link had never had a dragon approach her directly before, and she was baffled. She ran after him, and as they say, the rest is history.
