Daydream Dragons are the hosts of daydreams and fantasies. They spend the majority of their time sitting on clouds, dropping daydreams down into the minds of people passing by. Humans who live near Daydream Dragons must be especially careful not to let their thoughts wander, or they could end up spending hours or even days in a trance-like waking dream state.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Master Storyteller arrived one day, acting as if he had always been with The Flight. He offered no name, but instead a plethora of stories—from realistic tales to flights of whimsy. His cloud glows as he speaks, wrapping others in his words. He doesn't seem to have the usual power of daydreams to create dreaminess. Master Storyteller claims that a master weaving a tale is making a dream for everyone, so perhaps he's channeling his aura. It seems that nearly all other discussion bores him, but he'll delight anyone nearby with whatever they most want to hear.

So perhaps, in terms of a partnership, only Cephisso would suffice. The lady Daydream started showing up to hear his stories one day and took each of his stories apart, commenting on the use of a technique here or there. Sometimes she'd compliment and sometimes she'd be harsh, but she truly loved his stories. To Master Storyteller, this was the same as loving him. It eventually became clear that it was the same to her, too.
