Silver Dragons are arguably one of the most beautiful types of dragons. They live in high altitude habitats such as mountains. Silver females eat meat only when a male dragon brings it to them as part of courtship, though they are typically highly-independent. They possess an almost magical aura that lights up any place they are in, and are looked upon with awe by humans and animals alike.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

In the clans, metallic dragons are a rarity, whose presence is looked upon with awe. Such was Chryssa's early life, until a strange egg came into the nursery one morning. At first, she ignored it, used to the carers giving more attention to the eggs, but when it hatched, her interest grew as she assumed that the purple hatchling that came from it was her intended mate. The hatchling, named Citadark, indeed fell in love with her, but Chyrssa felt uncomfortable with how much attention was given to him, and how he had these powerful abilities that she couldn't hope to compete with. When she left the nursery, she was told they weren't destined to be, yet heard rumours of his strange powers. Realising the truth, that he was the legendary dragon, she felt jealous of the attention he had stolen from her, and resolved to claw it back by becoming his mate. Yet when she next saw him, she found their love had withered, and accompanies him to this day, in hope of making him love her once more.
