Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Christmas Jig lives in Fulviusveil, the only dragon on the west side. He works and earns money, participates in community events, and goes to church, so nobody thinks anything is odd about him. He is a past second-place winner and now flag-carrier for the Valentine's Day Inland 20-Kilometer Footrace, which occurs in mid-March on Fulvius Yankee Beach and is 9.6 kilometers long. Participants don't strictly have to be on foot and there's a swimming portion; the rules are that if using some kind of aid, it must be with the participant the entire race, items cannot be shared with other participants, and flight and magic use are forbidden. Jig placed second in the 18th race with just his four feet and two fins, only beaten by a lady who had a three-wheeled thing that was pedaled and could float. (She deserved that win.) Jig has the honor of carrying the flag to the sausage stand at the Starting Zone and throwing crusts of nobly bread whenever someone passes the Finish Spitz.
