Despite their great size and strength, Celestial Dragons are a peaceful breed named for their spectral, starry appearance. Little else is known about them, as they spend the vast majority of their lives partially phased out of the plane of existence through the use of powerful magic. Celestial Dragons are thought to assume their corporeal form only long enough to reproduce or to die; the rest of the time, they resemble living, breathing constellations, impervious to all physical and magical harm.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Meteoritics studies the rocks that fall to Valkemare from the sky. None of the dragons living nearby, in the sky or on the ground, think this is a worthwhile endeavor and say interest in sky rocks is a Celestial Dragon Thing. A lot of things he does that others think strange are called "Celestial Dragon Things", and he senses that they have in mind two categories of behavior: Normal Behavior, and Celestial Dragon Behavior. What can he say; he's interested in the objects' elemental makeup, the possible mana contained within, and the nature of other objects from beyond Valkemare. He enters corporeal form to write about his findings and fly them to the Shamsi Astronomy Society, Southwest Branch, where other researchers sometimes review his work and publish them under the name M. T. Celestial... short for "Meteoritics The Celestial", he thinks. Whenever he returns there, they tell him how his research is being used by others (if it is), and he gets really excited about that.
