Khusa dragons thrive in dry, desolate, and rocky areas. Though they can fly, Khusa enjoy honing their climbing skills on foot. Shortly after they hatch, parents are already teaching their young how to pick their way across cliff faces, escarpments, and thin ridges. The young are well cared for by their parents, but other Khusa in the area also look out for the young—despite not forming close-knit groups, these dragons form loose alliances with their closest neighbors. If a threat is spotted, they will attack from above and drive it to the ground where Khusa have an advantage.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Feather is an adventurous and brave dragon. He's actually kind of crazy, challenging himself to take on the biggest of feats, such as climb insanely tall peaks with his wings tied together or attacking grizzly bears head-on. He loves pushing himself to the limit to see how far his body and mind can go. He knows how to take pain as well, laughing off all the bruises, scars, and lost teeth like nothing. He's super kind and friendly towards other dragons, much more than a standard Khusa. He'll always do his part to help others in need, though he is known to go overboard and become way too invasive with others' problems. He is an extremely loyal and protective friend and will do anything for someone he considers close. He is incredibly reliable, known to come through for his friends and family alike.
