Magma Dragons are capable of withstanding the intense temperatures of their element. They live in volcanic regions, their bodies coated in the red hot magma which clings to their scales. They must leave the lava fields in order to hunt, although they require surprisingly little food to sustain their lumbering mass.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Goxy is convinced that he is a creature of lore and legend, called a crocodile. He lurks around the edge of his lava pool, watching and waiting for an innocent animal to walk past. Crouching down, he will wait until they approach, and then he will clasp his jaws onto them and drag them under. He had heard that crocodiles do 'death rolls' with their prey, but no matter how skilfully he somersaults, Goxy always ends up with lava up his nose, and having to watch as his prey flees the scene. It is a pity that Goxy doesn't like charred food, as coating his dinner in magma has the unfortunate side effect of it slightly overcooking, which upsets him greatly, although he must bear with it in order to keep his crocodilian ways. Besides, seeing how little prey actually comes near to the volcano in which Goxy lurks, he cannot afford to be fussy with what he does or does not eat.
