Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

This dragon is paranoid that the banana trees are watching him, waiting to make him sick with pollen when he least expects it. He is often heard prophesizing of the coming of the Great Banana Plauge, when all fruits (not just bananas) will turn against dragonkind and cause a terrible allergy season that will become known as the "Thousand Year Sneeze". "In order to stop them," he says, "their fruits must continually be stolen from them, year after year—aeon after aeon!—to prevent them from preparing their dangerous onslaught."

Most of the time, his rants are ignored. Usually, all the neotropicals to whom he is preaching get bored and leave to squabble over bananas before he is even halfway done. This doesn't seem to bother him; he continues his speeches to the vacated tree. They all call him "Plauge Bananas are Watching Me" because he doesn't seem to have another name.
