Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

The arrival of little Pika certainly sent rumours around the Kestra clan; the nippy whiptail dragon was certainly quick and nimble and presented the first real challenge to Ceda's title of best aerobat. However there was never any real fear of the rivalry getting ugly; Pika and Ceda became fast friends and are often seen egging each other on to do greater and more daring stunts. Ceda now has someone who can keep up with her in the skies, while Pika sees the clan-leader's mate as a 'big sister' of sorts. The pair are often found out over the home of the clan performing their aerial displays and practicing with and against each other.
