Ridgewing Dragons live just below the snow level on the upper slopes of mountains. They are a friendly, playful breed and enjoy dancing in wind currents near their homes or plummeting down into valleys from great heights. Their wings, by far their most striking feature, grow in fin-like ridges along their backs. While their bodies lack markings to blend better with their surroundings, a ridgewing’s wings have bright markings in the colors of the flowers that grow in their mountain habitat. Occasionally different-colored individuals can be found, but they are rare because their striking coloring offers little protection.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Staurolite is a terrible steak knife, lacking the relevant sharp edges to cut. He is also bad at telling fortunes and cannot answer how many beans are in the Bobbing Jar. He lives in a human dwelling separated from the other buildings by a thick fence. Staurolite was caught off-guard one day when they marched up to him and picked him up, and were quickly and violently ushered back inside with Staurolite in tow. He wasn't taken there on his accord, but he soon suspected that the humans weren't, either. The place is ugly, and the living conditions leave something to be desired, but many of the humans don't even notice. Several appear to be at death's door, others scream at objects, and still others attempt to stab whoever's within reach and wear the skins as hats. Being lectured on how to cut steak is far from the worst experience Staurolite had. He decided to stick around the poor humans to pacify, entertain, and bandage, and put out any fires some of them happen to start.
