Holiday dragons are a very mysterious breed. They are only seen during winter, and even then it is hard to catch a glimpse of one. They are responsible for the general cheer that spreads during the holidays. In essence, they are the “Spirits of Winter.”

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Gloria was barely conscious when she was dragged in from the cold. Nobody knew where she had come from, but judging how exhausted she was when she was found, it was a long way away. When she became conscious, all the clans questioned her on where her home was, why she had left, and what had brought her to the clans. Gloria simply replied that she could not remember anything more than walking alone through the snow, following the flame that danced just above her head, and that it was that flame that had brought her to the clans. While the medics brushed this off as hallucinations due to tiredness, throughout her recovery Gloria stuck to her story, refusing to admit that this answer was not the truth. To everyone's surprise, Gloria claimed to still be seeing the bobbing light, and to this day she still claims that it is there, following her wherever she goes.
