Sunstone Dragons are named after the orb on their tails, which resembles the gem of the same name. Their social structure resembles a lion pride, with one dominant male and several females banded together with their young. They prefer arid climates where they can blend in and dig for minerals and gemstones that they not only collect, but eat. The more gems they consume, the larger their tail stone grows. They are an aggressive breed; it is not uncommon to see two males battling for mates and territory.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Boundless Euphoria loves to run, and is endlessly racing himself across the Voiceless Desert. Many who have seen him believe he is no more than a mirage, since there seems to be no point to what he does. In reality, he has several reasons, the most prominent being that he believes motion to be the primary key to happiness. He worships in three demigods born from destruction and animated by love, who run across the afterlife with the same joy he attempts to mimic across the sand. He also worships their supposed creator, a god of wishes who is associated with rainbows.

The practical reason for Euphoria's running is that the methodical pounding of his feet tends to attract the burrowing predators he hunts, jumping into the air when they approach and clubbing them with his tail-orb when they pounce out of the sand. He has almost lost his tail practicing this hunting method many times, but he perseveres regardless.
