It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. A bit on the ditzy side, Munsell (named after a vivid shade of purple) is not the most intelligent dragon around. She has a gaudy sense to her, often chatting on and on and on about basically nothing. She's an incessantly sociable type. Munsell loves attending crowds of dragons to listen in and join in the gossip. She thrives best in open, active communities that usually don't pick up on the fact that she doesn't know what she's talking about ninety percent of the time. Though perhaps not the most intelligent overall, Munsell does have emotional intelligence. She's quick to spot somebody in distress, whether they show it or not, which is impressive given her track record. For all she chats and chatters, Munsell is a good listener and will help those in need if she can. She's always good for a sit down with some fresh fruit and cold drinks. Her advice usually boils down to sitting back and relaxing for a moment, which can often be the best advice to give.
