Storm Dragons are the masters of the skies. They are excellent fliers and land only to rest and eat. In addition, they have full control of the weather. They are very hot-tempered and easily angered. They will attack any human that bothers them, conjuring strong winds and dangerous lightning.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Cara Liss resides in a tawny orange rock formation, where she conducts her research and works on her revival machine. She is a scientist with miscolored socks, generally disheveled appearance, and a sour expression and no tolerance of people who act haughty. If a traveler were to present two fossils or sets of ancient remains that appeal to Cara Liss, using her magic and machine, she can bring back the creature from the pieces. People look upon the beings, once long-dead but now alive and walking, and proclaim she is a genius doing revolutionary work. Never mind that the revived creatures are made from two halves of distinct species and seem to barely function. Of course, that's the way these creatures were when they were alive: failures. And that's why they died.
