Olive Dragons are a small, forest-dwelling breed, rarely growing much larger than the average sheep. When alarmed, they can erect a long row of venomous spines on their back, serving to warn any potential predators that Olives are not a good choice for a meal. While not strong enough to kill anything larger than a small deer, their venom causes an extremely painful reaction and necrosis at the bite site, sometimes causing the flesh to rot and limbs to fall off.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Murky is a very quiet, isolated dragon. He typically lurks around, careful of who he interacts with. Murky has very bad social anxiety and does not trust easy. He sticks close to his wife, Raven, for protection, as he recognizes her as a strong warrior. To ensure she keeps him safe, Murky treats her like a queen. He hunts for her, finds her treasures, and even scares away their annoying brood of nieces and nephews to give her peace and quiet. Raven appreciates this to a point. She often gets upset with Murky for pampering her but then falls in love with how cute he can be when he begs her not to leave him alone. She doesn't try to manipulate him or anything, he kind of does it to himself. Further evidence of his true social ineptitude. Despite the strange nature of their relationship, Raven and Murky have grown very close, to the point where Raven will stand up for him if ever he is in danger. And, he, in turn, will listen and be loyal to her. It's honestly adorable when you see it.
