Gold dragons are the ones most often killed by humans, who consider their scales to be extremely valuable. These golden scales grant them a high level of protection, similar to armor, and they use this to their advantage in battle.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. His name means "Golden Christmas" in Japanese, a fitting choice considering his ancestry. He's one of the many sons of Kentaro and Kiyomi, and was raised in one of their most shimmering and golden clutches ever. He was raised alongside his siblings Go-Ruden, Koganeiro, and Kousa; as well as his little sister Atsui. Kin-Noeru is a very stoic and proud dragon. He's the second Golden dragon to hatch into the Ryuu Tanima Colony, and has been sought after by many a dragoness. However, Aijou is the one who stole his heart. Aijou was already courting Zenryoku when she and Kin-Noeru met. They tried to ignore their feelings for one another, but the love between them only grew. Soon they couldn't deny it, and a decision had to be made. Aijou loved them both equally, and couldn't choose to be without one of them. After talking to Kin-Noeru and Zenryoku, Aijou chose both males as mates. She loves both of them with all her heart, and they love her with all theirs. They are all very happy together.
