Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It was born with a full set of wings.
And look! Its wings have grown larger! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
User Description
This young dragon greets other people by clicking her tongue and pointing at them with her large wings. In fact, her default positive response to something is to click her tongue and point. While she hasn't seen her biological parents since she was seven, she's decided to honor them—sort of—by refusing to take a name. Along with the frequent vocal outbursts, zigzagging walking patterns, and refusal to eat red beetles, rejection of a name is one of the things that she decided upon around the time she hit adolescence. While she sometimes drives her caretakers up the wall with the many changes in behavior, they admit that her "happy gesture" is rather endearing.
