Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like the egg it hatched from, it is a very shiny gold.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Liri is constantly studying, revising, and attempting to improve on her intelligence. While not naturally intellectual, Liri works as hard as she can in order to become so, reading many books late in to the night not out of interest, but in hope that it will broaden her mind. She regularly goes to classes, and spends hours slaving through work just so she can understand it, so the next day she can impress everyone with her newfound knowledge. She deeply believes that any dragon worth their while is well educated, and likes to spend her free time helping those who she deems to be less intellectually endowed than her, but while she has the best intentions, she always seems to come across as patronizing. That said, many parents will hire Liri to tutor their hatchlings, as she can explain it well, having gone through the difficulty in learning herself, which she easily manages to pass onto the younger hatchlings. Liri enjoys her job, and the superior feeling it gives her.
