Albino Dragons are so named because their translucent, scale-less skin lacks all pigment. Instead, to help protect their bodies from the sun, they are coated in an oily secretion that blocks the sun’s harmful rays. The call of an albino dragon is similar to a barn owl--a shriek instead of a roar.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Coyl is tiny for a dragon, barely taller than a warhorse, and very shy. She is polite and always seems to be hiding something. When questioned, Coyl will occasionally respond by saying "He...he is watching. Always watching. If I do something he disapproves of, he might unmake me. I don't want that, not yet." Then she will either fly away or cower in a corner. On rare occasions, she will cut herself and cast strange magic with her own blood.

Recently, Coyl met a two-finned bluna named Jeorge, who has been trying to figure out who "he" is, and understand some of the other cryptic things she says. She has begun living above Jeorge's cliff, which is facing the South Sea and just east of the southern edge of the Steppecliffs.
